“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” – Proverbs 23:7.
Not every negative thought is, by definition, an impure thought. Negative thoughts are not necessarily sinful. Impure thoughts, however, concentrate on the sinful things, which can stimulate and bring forth sin. The majority of impure thoughts are at will and can be controlled and banned from our thought processes, for we are to “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 10:5.
